WHERE IT BEGAN
In early 2023, a journey to Paris, France ignited a spark of inspiration that would shape our brand. The dazzling lights of the Eiffel Tower and the enchanting allure of the famous "Moulin Rouge" show left an indelible impression, weaving magic into our creations.
The seeds of creativity were planted during a difficult time in my life being a single mother of two small kids (they say you grow the most whilst being in a deep valley), but also strongly in my childhood, nurtured by my father's captivating moonlight and desert tales. His stories, filled with wonder and vivid imagery, transported me to distant realms, sparking my imagination and leaving me hanging on every word.
OUR NAME
The name “Paillette_moon” is derived from the french word, “Paillette” meaning a small shiny object (such as a spangle) applied in clusters as a decorative trimming.
VISION
We handcraft sustainable, unique statement pieces that reflect our commitment to ethical fashion. We aim to provide meaningful opportunities for local Capetonian tailors and seamstresses, enabling them to support their families while fostering their creativity and craftsmanship.
